TMG: Operations Launched to Drive out Crows from the Kabuki-cho Area
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has been collaborating...to prevent damages coming from the excessive number of crows by taking measures for garbage disposal and collection as well as capture of these birds. This has resulted in a steady reduction in the crow population in the metropolitan area. To prevent another increase in the number of crows, the TMG has called for special measures for garbage in Kabuki-cho:
1) Early morning collection in Kabuki-cho 1-chome - Garbage collection begins at 6:30 am instead of 8:00 am.
2) Trial use of yellow garbage bags in the Kabuki-cho 1-chome area
...The Mayor of Shinjuku Ward and the Director-General of the Bureau of Environment are scheduled to observe the first early morning collection.

And I thought we were supposed to worry about the pigeons
