Luxist: Sushi II Chair
Taro's FG Post on the original Campana Brothers' sushi chair here. The "sushi" moniker remains a mystery.The first thing that is startling about this chair is the price, a cool $19,000. But you have to think of it as sittable art. This chair on sale at Moss Gallery is part of a limited series from the Campana Brothers who have created a number of outrageous chairs including ones made from stuffed animals and rolls of textiles. This chair which looks like brightly colored sushi rolls is made of felt, textiles and synthetics rolled into concentric rings on a welded iron structure.
