In Marxy's blog, I read the following comment from a "MC and visual art genius" explaining Ishihara's crackdown on Tokyo dance clubs:
Ukawa blamed the problem on Ishihara's privileged background: "As a member of the Taiyou-zoku (50s rich-kid delinquents), his idea of fun is going to house parties at friends' summer homes and surfing. He doesn't understand our working class ideas of dancing."
It's bad enough we've got Spicoli, Keanu, "Kato" Kaelin...now we've got to be associated with Ishihara? That's too much...
