On completely a different thread from the original - why isn't there more public pressure to have all night train serivces - natually with a much reduced frequency - but even one per hour would greatly reduce some serious issues.
It is not as if the taxi companies would be losing revenue, as people don't catch cabs, but sleep in nightclubs, on the streets, at the train stations steps etc etc. The mind reels...
