Japanese nationalists to march on anniversary of anti-Japan violence in China

Japanese nationalist groups planned to march through a Chinese and Korean immigrant neighborhood in Tokyo on Sunday to mark the anniversary of violent anti-Japan protests in China, organizers said.

''We don't want Japanese to forget what happened,''

''We want the government to stand up to China over the East China Sea gas fields,'' he said.

In addition to disputes over interpretations of World War II history, China and Japan have been arguing over control of a stretch of the East China Sea midway between their coasts. Both hope to exploit undersea gas reserves there to drive their fuel-hungry economies.

Is there any neighborhood in Tokyo has a majority of Chinese and Korean immigrants in it? I doubt it. Does anybody know where this "march" was conducted today. This march would seem to be good way to annoy the Japanese majority living in Tokyo "ethnic" neighborhoods like Otsuka or Nishi-Ueno with immigrants who only comprise 20% of the population at the max. :shake:

I wonder if this has anything to do with the ' Asia Free Trade Zone' being pushed by and against by 'you know who'?

His comments came after farm minister Shoichi Nakagawa

in an apparent criticism of China, said Japan should not seek free-trade pacts with countries that cannot guarantee the safety of its citizens.

The comments by Nakagawa known for his hardline views towards China and North Korea came after the trade ministry unveiled a proposal this week for an East Asia free-trade zone including Southeast Asia, as well as China, India and Australia.

And the rallys will (cough) have be held....? In Roppongi Hills! well, just go to your nearest 7-11 for more details.

The first Chinese march was a disgrace and all that anti-Japan nonsense - for fuck sakes you Chinese nuts !! but the commie socialist gov in China seems to have cracked down on any nationalism recently, so you won't be seeing any anti-Tokyo rally this year.

Of course the Japanese want to play the big victim card... AGAIN !!
Nippon = victim ( perfect example the controversial J-history books - read them : they say once upon a time Japanese tried to modernize Korea and liberate Pearl Harbor but then the evil Americans stopped Japan from getting land and nuked and bombed old Japanese ladies in Nagasaki )

Chinese are trying to crack down on any nationalism but the Japanese can't let sleeping dogs lie and we'll expect Uyoku idiots to go around provoking shit in Japan's minority neighborhoods

My favourties are the Koreans, they really know how to do this crazy shit

Asia is such a fucking basket-case at times, and Uncle sam's got enough trouble in the Middle east so can't afford to baby-sit Asians no more.
The next few years should be fun if you're a military investor or just liked playing those old classic nuke-war games

Bad strategic move by those Japanese marching in ethnic neighbourhoods. Did the press in China report the march?

Ah, but those were crazy times. Everyone was trying to kill everyone else. Can't blame one side for being better at it than the other, can you?

Maybe.

Japan China relations

Yet a year later, both sides have continued a steady stream of provocative rhetoric and acts. At a rare national press conference last month, Chinese foreign minister Li Zhaoxing quoted a German diplomat who called the Yasukuni Shrine visits "stupid and immoral." When Japan officially summoned Chinese ambassador Wang Yi the next day in Tokyo, Mr. Wang refused to go - a serious diplomatic breach.

To my knowledge the CSM is not known for it's 'reactionary' headline grabbing stories so I wonder if there is some credence (not the Clearwater Revival type).

Oh I see. You were there? You counted? Or you just read the propaganda books which you conveniently want to believe. The history of Japan's conquest in Asia is more complicated than your one sentence trash.
