News24: US Marines jailed for theft
A court in southern Japan sentenced two US Marines to prison on Wednesday for robbing a taxi driver on a base, a court official said. The Naha district court in Japan's southernmost island of Okinawa sentenced lance corporals Henry D Morgan (20) to three years in prison and Reginald Q Lowery (21) to two-and-a-half years for the January 7 robbery in Camp Foster, court official Tatsuhiko Toguchi said. The two pulled a knife on the cab driver and took about 5 000 yen and five dollars, according to the official. The driver was unhurt in the incident.
