Man breaks into British Embassy in Tokyo, seized by security guards: police

(Kyodo) _ A man broke into the British Embassy in Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward at around 11:25 a.m. Friday and was seized by security guards, the Metropolitan Police Department said.

The man appears to be in his 30s and claims to be a British national, according to the Kojimachi police station.

The man climbed over the south gate of the embassy and was seized by embassy security guards and handed over to the Metropolitan Police Department's riot police personnel on guard.

Hmmm, I could relate to that. From time to time I sneak onto Camp Zama just to kick back and bask in the real world of lawns, underground utilities and un-Japanese life. I could understand how a really stressed-out fellow walking along the west fence of the British Embassy could peer in, catch a homesick glimpse of the gardens, see that nobody was around, and swing over the iron fence for a little peace/piece of home.
