
Purchased kidney may have been used in transplant at Ehime hospital

MATSUYAMA — Police on Sunday arrested a man and raided a hospital in Ehime Prefecture in connection with allegations that a kidney used in a transplant operation there last year was purchased. The man, whose identity has not been released yet, is suspected of having brokered the kidney's trade in violation of the Organ Transplant Law.
