Mainichi: 2 comedy program directors busted for possessing drugs
Two assistant directors of a popular television comedy program have been arrested for possessing hemp, police said. Nobuaki Kitahara, 28, from Tokyo's Shinjuku-ku, and Katsunori Ishimochi, 26, from Suginami-ku, were sent by a production firm to work on the popular program, "Warai no Kinmedaru" (Gold Medals of Laughter), which is broadcast by Asahi Broadcasting Corp. A police officer questioned both men in the Roppongi entertainment district of Tokyo on Oct. 22 and found they were in possession of 2.9 grams of hemp.
