Headless Torso Found in Kabukicho

A dismembered torso probably belonging to a young man was Saturday found dumped in a garbage bag not far from Shinjuku-ku's Kabukicho district in Tokyo, police said.

The head, arms and lower half of the body had been severed ...

Tokyo Metropolitan Government-approved garbage bags

At least some effort to do the right thing was made.

If they could post a picture of his willy, I know a girl from that area that can recognize most of them!

I should note that I couldn't find the right picture to accompany this post so I took that shot of myself and photoshopped it.

While not quite accurate given the body's location, the classic NY Post headline of "headless body in topless bar" springs to mind with the Kabukicho element.

It looks like a Sopranos hit. They'll catch the people involved since there were video cameras EVERYWHERE near that area.

And when can I expect you to introduce her to me so she can identify my willy? I only ask, in case I am next to be chopped, diced, and minced, but for whatever reason they leave my willy intact. I wish for her to be able to identify my remains.....sort of Realm of The Senses style.

TAMA --
The body of a male jammed into a concrete block was found inside a house in Tama on Wednesday, police said Thursday. Police visited the house in Renkoji, Tama, upon acquiring information that the resident of the house, a man in his 60s who lived alone, had been missing, said a police spokesman. After a search of the house, police found the concrete block in a hollowed-out space under the kitchen floor, with what seemed like male feet sticking out.....[/INDENT]

I suppose that means that the corpse had athlete's foot or something. I mean given the small size of feet in Japan, how could they be sure the corpse was male just by looking at the feet? I'm probably just po'ed as I can't find shoes my size and a clerk laughed at me when I asked him if the pair of shoes I was interested in came in 29 cm. I responded with a "my dick's just a little longer that that, so I think I'm well balanced." Maybe that guy in Renkoji has shoes that will fit me, since he has (had) obvious "Male pattern footing".

Mainichi: Lower half of man's body matches headless trunk found in Shinjuku
The lower part of a man's body found in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, was confirmed Friday to be that of a man whose headless trunk was discovered in Shinjuku-ku earlier this month, investigators said. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) confirmed that DNA from both sections of the body are identical. Investigators are trying to confirm his identity. At about 3:10 p.m. on Thursday, a woman strolling in the Kamiyamacho district of Shibuya-ku spotted what appeared to be the body of a person in the garden of a vacant home and alerted police. Officers rushed to the scene and confirmed that it was the severed lower section of a man's body. A man who lives next door to the vacant home told investigators that he had been unaware of the body. Investigators who examined the body said the victim had died about two weeks earlier, adding that the body may have been dumped at the scene shortly after he died. On Dec. 16, the headless upper half of a man's body was found on a street in the Nishi-Shinjuku district about 3.5 kilometers north of the Kamiyamacho district.

Woman arrested for dumping husband's mutilated body
Mainichi
A 32-year-old woman has been arrested for abandoning the mutilated body of her husband late last year, police said.

Kaori Mihashi, from Tokyo's Shibuya-ku, stands accused of illegal abandonment of a body. She has confessed that she murdered and dismembered her husband, Yusuke Mihashi, 30, in December.

Kaori allegedly put parts of the mutilated upper part of her husband's body in a bag and abandoned the bag in the Shinjuku district of Tokyo in December. She left the man's lower part in the garden of a house in Shibuya-ku.

Based on the woman's confession, police found the head of the husband, who worked for a foreign-affiliated securities house, in a park in the western Tokyo suburb of Machida on Wednesday....more...

Been lots of stories of dismemberment of family members lately!! Seems fairly brutal but more common here than the old bullet to the head execution style of other countries.

Wonder what drives somebody to cut off the head and legs of a family member? I know I have wanted to throttle my brother occasionally but I doubt I could muster the energy required to hack off a limb... :|

Yomiuri: Suspect turned away friends at New Year's
A woman arrested Wednesday on suspicion of abandoning her husband's mutilated body turned his friends away who wanted to visit their home over the New Year's holidays, telling them by telephone she was at her parents' house in Niigata, according to the Metropolitan Police Department...Kaori apparently never went to Niigata, and instead spent late December trying to eliminate evidence of the murder by throwing out furniture and renovating the apartment...he police suspect Kaori was afraid Yusuke's friends would see evidence of the murder and cover-up if they came over. However, she could not refuse all requests, and some did visit. When they came, she told them the place might smell of blood because her dog was menstruating. The police also found Kaori left windows open at about midnight just before being arrested, despite the midwinter cold. The police suspect she was still afraid the place smelled of blood despite some time having passed since the mutilation...more...

Lower half of body found in Ibaraki Pref. forest
The Yomiuri Shimbun
The lower half of a male body severed at the waist was found Wednesday morning in a mountain forest in Ishioka, Ibaraki Prefecture, police said.

Ishioka Police Station has launched an investigation treating the matter as the abandonment of a body and is looking into possible links with the upper half of a male body found earlier this month in Bando in the prefecture.

A local man, 59, who was walking in the forest, called the police to report he had found the body part at about 7:50 a.m., according to police sources.

The police will analyze the body parts to determine whether the lower half matches the upper half, which was found about 30 kilometers from Ishioka on a bank of the Yahagigawa river on Dec. 11.
