The Dedication Of A Panty Thief

Postby Mulboyne » Wed Mar 14, 2007 6:56 pm

[floatr]Image[/floatr]Japan Times: Sky was the limit for serial lingerie thief
A 54-year-old construction worker was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of stealing some 4,400 pieces of women's underwear, police said. Hiroshima Prefectural Police arrested Shigeo Kodama after they raided his home in Hiroshima's Minami Ward and confiscated some 4,400 women's stockings and panties. Kodama faces immediate specific charges over the February theft of six pieces of women's underwear from two homes in Minami Ward. Kodama told police he had kept all the stolen underwear at his home. Police believe Kodama's lingerie collection dates back to around 2001, based on reports from women in the area who said their underwear had been stolen. Kodama was quoted as telling the investigators, "I'm very good at climbing to high places," citing his experience working on high-rises.

(We haven't had a stolen lingerie post for a while so this guy should see us through for some time to come).

With that much underwear, it seems like this guy was collecting these as a sport rather than to satisfy a sexual kink.

Let's see. 4000 pairs over 5 years is about two pairs a day or fourteens pairs on a weekend. That means at least 300 thefts with some guy climbing up the outside of a building. You'd think someone would have noticed before now.

Nah, climbing down the side of a building with a bra and pair of used skivies in your teeth is normal here. He would have only been noticed if he was an FG.

That's my point. Even if it started as a sexual kink, it must have escalated to a sport because of the sheer number of panties in the collection.

Ahh, Bird youse missed the point again. No sport to this. It's pure ertoticism. Until you have actually done it, you can't appreciate the warm and fuzzy feeling you get when doing a swan dive off the end of your bed into a pile of soiled knickers lying on the floor. All the time, while wearing a bra over your head, buckled safely under the chin. A T-back over the face is of course, optional.

The real Connoisseurs among us truly understand! Someday I'll show you my clothes pin collection.

Looks like the Cougar coeds wear a lot of thongs.

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) - A man who reportedly said he has "a problem" was charged with theft and burglary after police said they found 93 pounds of women's panties, brassieres and other underwear at his home in this college town.

Investigators believe Garth M. Flaherty, 24, took as many as 1,500 undergarments from apartment complex laundry rooms before he caught, police Cmdr. Chris Tennant said.

A man was seen taking underwear from two laundry rooms Saturday, a witness recorded his license number, Flaherty was identified from a photographic montage and police found enough underwear to fill five garbage bags in his bedroom, Tennant said.

"He said he had a problem," Tennant said.

Flaherty has been jailed on charges of 12 counts of second-degree burglary and one of first-degree theft.

Police had previously received 12 reports of panty thefts in the northeast part of this town, the part of town where Washington State University is located.

"We were kind of concerned about how to match up bras and panties with victims," Tennant said. "Based on the unique descriptions from a couple of women, we can tie him to those thefts."

The underwear will be held as evidence until the case is resolved, after which their disposition is uncertain, Tennant said.

"Would you really want them back?" he asked. "I would say not."

The Japanese police are just so much better at displaying stolen lingerie.

Nah, they're equally valid forms of art. The J-style is in the mode of Renaissance or neo-classical art; the American style is inspired by Manet.

I didn't know Manet worked in panty girdles and lift-ups!

If the thieves did what I suspect they did with their swag then their artistic inspiration was probably more Jackson Pollock.

You might be right, if Jackson Pollock had a "white period"!

Well, in the Nicked Knicker Nickers' Olympics, the U.S. is a distant second there (4,400 J-undergarments v 1,500 U.S. undergarments), although there's a nasty rumour that if you compared the piles by weight, they actually came out roughly the same. :p

Anyhow, Garth's prize is: 45 days in jail

Image

That's about 1 day per kilo of panties.

;)

In broad daylight no less.

Panties raided from Bellevue Victoria's Secret

More than $10,000 worth of panties were stolen from a Victoria's Secret store at Bellevue Square last month, the Bellevue Police Department reported.
The panty heist was reported last Wednesday, but it actually happened between 2:30 and 5 p.m. on May 30.
A store employee reported to police that 650 pairs of panties of various colors, sizes and styles were stolen from the shelves, police spokesman Greg Grannis said.
Police had no suspects and the store had no video of the theft. An employee told police that the thief likely could have stuffed the merchandise into two large shopping bags, Grannis said.
Police were not aware of any other such large-scale panty thefts happening in Bellevue, he said.

Practice makes perfect.
Never criticize anyone until you've walked several kilometres in their shoes.
Because

1. You're now several kilometres away; and

2. You've got their shoes.

Japan wins hands down. The US was up, but lost out when they washed the 93 pounds of bras ad panties. Then, when they weighed them after washing, they only had 34 pounds worth and had rendered two washing machines unusable.
