Viagra reduces jet lag in hamsters
The Register / Tuesday 22nd May 2007 10:24 GMT
Argentinian reseachers have rather unaccountably discovered that Viagra helps ameliorate the effects of "jet lag" in hamsters, and might do the same for humans.
According to New Scientist, hamsters who were favoured with small doses of sildenafil, punted as Viagra, coped better with a simulated six-hour time-zone shift than their non-chemical-hardened chums - adapting to the jet lag up to 50 per cent faster...more...

Just imagine having a full erection for the entire duration of the flight. I'm sure this will crop all sorts of new adventures in mid air

What I would like to know

Postby canman » Thu May 24, 2007 10:28 am

What genius decided to even try giving a hamster viagra to help with jetlag. I mean I've heard of strange things, but that is pretty out there. Its like the old Jerry Seinfled joke about the scientist who made the first seedless watermelon, his colleagues are finding cures for cancer and aids, but this guy wants to rid the world of spitting seeds!

Sounds like my old college roommate. He was a biology major, he liked trying stupid "experiments" like giving LSD or mescaline to his pet turtle.
