Japanese police arrest man with 5 mobile phones

Japanese police have arrested a suspected gangster after he ignored an aircraft captain's order to turn off his five mobile phones as the plane was taking off.

AFP reports that the 34 year old man works as a DVD sales clerk and is suspected to be linked to a major crime syndicate.

Police allege he repeatedly used his phones despite the captain's orders.

It is the first arrest in Japan for using a mobile phone on an aircraft in flight.

The offence is punishable by a fine of up to US$4100.

It is not known why the man was carrying five phones.

Maybe the yak (or "DVD sales clerk") has 5 girlfriends.

This looks like his type:
