
KIPPO: Japan's 1st amphibious bus debuts in Osaka
Japan's first amphibious bus has made its debut for regular service on the streets of Osaka City, widely known as a 'water town.'Sponsored and planned by the nonprofit organization 'Osaka-Mizukaido808', the bus was introduced to reinvigorate the city as a trigger for luring tourists. A tour of the city on the bus takes passengers from its departure point at the Namba Parks commercial complex to Okawa, the river that flows through the heart of Osaka City, for a pleasure trip of about 40 minutes on the surface of the water. It then returns to land, passing along the city's main street Midosuji.
