No More NHK Man?

ZAKZAK reports (Japanese) that NHK is considering abolishing the door-to-door collection of licence fees from next October. Instead, the broadcaster will look to collect money through bank transfers, payments at convenience stores etc. NHK hopes that this will help reduce overall expenses.

And until they lower the price and/or increase the amount of content that interests me, I still won't pay for it. Kind of sad that my hobby or tormenting the local NHK people is going to come to an end :(
