From here:

"On World Teachers Day October 5, 2007, protests were held in Tokyo and San Francisco to demand that repression against anti-war teachers be halted. Over 1500 teachers have been reprimanded and/or suspended for refusing to sing nationalist military songs in the schools."

'Refuseniks'

very nice.
Mr Kobayashi: First, I experienced a sort of overpowering feeling whenever I was in the room with foreigners, not to mention a powerful body odor coming from them. I don't know whether it was a sweat from the heat or a cold sweat, but I remember I was sweating whenever they were around.

Since the whole world rightfully should submit to the Chrysanthemum Throne, one could argue that every non-Japanese is a Gaijin.

My wife informs me that "J-Sayoku Dudes" are Leftists (politically) is that correct? Then Take-Poo is saying, and I agree, that the signs were written for them by Japanese people, hence the grammar. And grammar aside, whoever wrote the signs has better penmanship than most Americans, myself included. They've obviously been writing Kanji their whole lives.
Maybe those guys are "rent-a-mob" types or were told by their union to hold the signs.

Needless to say, sayoku means leftist.
Traditionaly J-sayoku dudes have the tendency that they pleasurely try to advitise Japan's negative aspects to the world.
And these dudes never mind telling lies to justify their claim.
Surely I know some gaijin can write kanji.
But Japanese also know whether the kanji or hiragana are written by Japanese or not.

Hell, you can't even tell which of your baseball players are Japanese, unless they come out of the closet or use their foreign name.

I guess a lot of people already know this but Sadaharu Oh's father is Chinese(or Taiwanese??).
And Kattobase Aniki Kanemoto of the Hanshin Tigers is a Zainichi Kankokujin.
I guess the list goes on and on.
