They love to drag out the ridge is Shikoku bridges as there worst example of waste, rather unfairly IMO. The Seto-Ohashi is extremely useful, and Akashi is not that bad. The worst road projects in Shikoku connect the southwest part of Shikoku and the cities of Matsuyama and Kochi. I have driven down south from Matsuyama on the expressway and have travelled for ten mile without seeing another car in either direction. Were it not for the single line in both directions it would make a great road for leadfoots like Taro.:D
