[floatr][/floatr]Kyodo via Japan Today: Myanmar national arrested, 3 injured in clash with police at Tokyo embassy A Myanmar national was arrested and at least three people were injured Saturday in a minor clash between Myanmar residents in Japan and police in front of the Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo’s Shinagawa Ward, police said. The 41-year-old Myanmar man was arrested for beating a police officer as about 150 Myanmar residents in Japan gathered in front of the embassy to demand their rights for expatriate voting on a bill for a new Myanmar constitution and then clashed with the police. About 200 riot police were mobilized to the embassy. The arrested man is believed to be a senior official of a pro-democracy group in Japan. Ten other people were taken to hospital, with at least three of them sustaining injuries, police said.
