New Haneda-Korea Town Airport Bus

Postby Mulboyne » Thu Jul 31, 2008 7:15 am

[floatl]Image[/floatl]Fervent Japanese nationalists looking to disrupt relations with neighbouring Korea need look no further than a new bus service to be introduced at Haneda Airport. The Okubo Liner goes into service on the 1st August and will run six round trips to fit in with the schedules of flights servicing the route between Tokyo and Seoul. The run from Haneda to Korea Town in Okubo will take around one hour and the bus operator is World Navigation which specialize in tourism between the two countries. Their target market is Korean residents of Japan and the increasing number of Korean visitors. The company says that the existing limousine bus service only runs between Haneda and Shinjuku Station West Exit so Okubo residents usually end up having to get a taxi. The new route, however, takes in the east end of Shokuan Dori and the Fraser Place Hotel near Okubo Station which are both close to Korean residents, shops and services. Of course, the the bus will also now allow fervent Korean nationalists to travel between Seoul and Tokyo without once being subjected to the word "Takeshima".
