Yomiuri: Man held over leaving wife's body in Tokyo hotel
A 56-year-old unemployed man has been arrested on suspicion of abandoning his wife's body at a hotel in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo. According to the police, Yasuyuki Koyama placed the body of his wife, Yoko, 58, in a suitcase and left it in a guest room of the Shinjuku Washington Hotel. The woman's body had been put in a clear plastic bag. The suitcase was found on Sept. 5. The police believe Yoko died from an illness. Koyama was quoted by the police as saying: "My wife died in early August at a hotel in Yokohama. I carried her body around because I wanted to be with her as long as possible."
