What is it with explosions in Shibuya? Last year was the exploding onsen, and now this!

The good folks on 2ch were kind enough to post a link to the google map of the exploded building. It's actually in Jingumae 3-chome, over kind of near the Watarium museum.

Also, the 2ch folks used the explosion-related news thread to post this video of an adorable kitten having a bath in a bucket.

Blimey - was that why there were choppers and sirens around my office all day. I was hiding under my desk and considering what needed to be flushed and/or shredded as they were so close.

2 bodies found after explosion, fire in Tokyo's Shibuya Ward
TOKYO, Nov. 12 KYODO
Two bodies were found Wednesday after an explosion and subsequent fire in a building in Tokyo's Shibuya Ward where explosives for pistols used in movie-making were being processed without authorities' permission, police said.
The police identified the bodies as those of Kiyoko Yokoyama, 88, and her daughter-in-law Yoko, 55. Shinichi Yokoyama, 60, Yoko's husband, sustained serious burns in the blast, which occurred around 12:30 p.m. at a company he operated in the three-story building.

:liar: There is a 2-m tall sign hanging on this building reading "Bronco Special Effects - gunfight and fire". Fifteen years ago, the company would make small tests lighting up the 2nd floor windows with fire simulations. Sometimes the cops and fire department would watch these tests along with passersby.

Ok that was weird. Musta double clicked or something, as it went directly to an outside view of my building. Would someone be kind enough to inform me if I blew up this afternoon?

Odd, my journalism instructors always insisted it was Who What When Where and hoW. Those are basic facts, the Why often drifts into unknowable territory beyond the realm of indisputable facts. Like "the man committed murder because the demon Astaroth told him so."

lol, you are a creditable person. Isn't there a thread about you somewhere.......

Ask a brit "why?" and you will get a nonsense asnwer, ask an american the same and you get an excuse.......but you do get an answer. Here you only see fear, fear that a person may possibly be able to form an independent thought.

Oh, that's cool! I once saw him years ago at one of the restaurants in Ebisu Garden Place. I suppose it's still one of his haunts???
