Is Jiminto getting its ass kicked next election

Don't get me wrong I like Japan a lot, I love its food, its culture, its ancient sports, its low crime rates

but one thing that pisses me off a lot about Asian society is their Sheepishness, their follow the leader attitude that exists through their Confucian, Emperor loving, Commie loving society - Fuck that!
even Thailand, a place that had a real chance for democracy starts to implode as the Thais go back to wearing yellow and worshiping that old dingbat of a King. The only place that ever really makes an attempt at democracy are the South Koreans and half of those guys are crazy anyhow.

With Jiminto (LDP) you got a party which almost had a complete strangle hold on Japan since WW2, but maybe not for long anymore because the LDP deserves a butt whoppin
Image
The LDP is a weird breed of good old fashioned narrow minded conservatism, and staunch liberalism. Examples such as cheering for Yasukuni but at the same time hiding behind their pacifist constitution. They lost power briefly in 1994 after some scandals allowed Japan socialists and other coalition weirdos make substantial gains A lot of gaijin people were trying to talk up Japan saying the property market would sky rocket once more and saying how Japan was a reliable tortoise but the dark writings were on the wall and the looming economic recession was going to hit. Japan's politics has become transparent, rigid, unimaginative and predictable. All the Koizumis, Abes, Aso and other assholes with their economic misery we could see coming from miles off http://www.wordpress.tokyotimes.org/?p=922.

Snap elections are gonna whack them

I can't see Taro Aso getting an easy ride

Japanese PM to call election ''at an appropriate time''
1/29/2009 9:12 AM ET

(RTTNews) - Japan's beleaguered Prime Minister Taro Aso on Thursday rejected opposition calls for snap polls by saying that he will call the parliamentary election ''at an appropriate time'' as his efforts to safeguard the nation's ailing economy have begun taking shape.

Addressing a plenary session of the House of Representatives Thursday, Aso said, ''I have put all my efforts into compiling economic measures and budgets to finance steps to shield the public's lives and employment from an unprecedented global financial crisis.''

''Therefore, I would like to test the public mandate at an appropriate time after clarifying what the issues would be,'' he added.

Aso was replying to the demand by Yukio Hatoyama, secretary general of the main opposition Democratic Party of Japan, to dissolve the lower house for an election as quickly as possible.

Now if the citizens were allowed to carry guns, there would be an overthrow.
9/11 Terror Attack: Survived. 3/11 Earthquake: Survived.
