Xinhua: S Korea to allow dual citizenship to attract talents
The South Korean government announced that it will allow foreign nationals to hold dual citizenship on a selective basis as early as later this year, South Korea's daily Chosun Ilbo reported Friday. The Ministry of Justice said it will submit a bill to the National Assembly by June to attract more global talent into the country without giving up their nationality. A non-Korean, who wishes to hold South Korean citizenship along with his or her nationality, should be evaluated by the government as a "talented person with ample potential to contribute to the nation's development," according to the ministry.
