Hi - this is Steven from Tokyo Damage Report.
I went on a guided tour of Japanese war crimes that took place in Ookubo (near Shinjuku) during WWII: Apparently over 100 Chinese POWs' bones were dug up in 1989. They took us through a totally normal-looking neighborhood, except that under parks and under apartment buildings are hidden caches of human remains that were buried to hide them from MacArthur's people.
Anyway, I translated the Japanese article about the whole thing into English, and posted it. With pictures. If you want to learn about it, or to go on a tour yourself, please visit this link.
