Here is a link to the Toronto Star article talking about the lousy sushi we get in Canada.

The overwhelming majority of offenders are 'fake' Japanese restaurants owned and operated by ethnic Koreans and Chinese.

And, sure enough, we get this in the readers' comments:

Koreans invented sushi

Some of the comments here have pointed out that many sushi restaurants in Toronto are owned and operated by Koreans, as if that's somehow an indictment of those restaurants. What many might not realize is that kimbap was first introduced by Korea to Japan, and kimbap is the culinary predecessor of sushi. In fact, kimbap is essentially sushi. Sushi, like much of Japanese cuisine, was originally derived from Korea, or from China through Korea.

The hilarious "Japan inferiority complex" expressed by many Korean and Chinese seems to be exceeded only by the even more hilarious complex of foreign "experts" who "study" Korea or China.

Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Plenty of Japanese-Japanese restaurants in Vancouver, Calgary, and other places in Canuckistan. Good sushi can be had.
