Japan's Treatment Of Foreign Workers Criticized

by Anthony Kuhn

All Things Considered, May 12, 2009 · Japan's government has mandated research into using robots to care for its fast-growing elderly population, as it is easier than getting visas for immigrants to come and do the job. This is just one of the many signs that analysts point to in warning that Japan's insular nature is a major drag on its economy.

Whether Japan imports foreign workers or not or how many is actually irrelevant to us gaijins.

I miss Jurgen. He is a funny bastard. He took my corporate head shots way way back when.

Of course. Like you I knew Juergen professionally, which make me sad to see his work was being ripped off (but that didn't stop me from ripping it off too).

Note to GPotties: Most of uf the Tokyo FG members know each other InRealLife, hence we have to be somewhat civil to each other.

That is not the only reason to be civil. I have not, to my knowledge, met anyone here, but I am civil to them and they are to me. As a result, there are many I would be happy to meet.
