Ivan Sorokin, 23, a tiger handler with Russia's Bolshoi Circus, has been arrested in Hiroshima on suspicion of theft. He was discovered rifling through lockers on the second floor of a security firm. He attempted to flee but fell down the stairs and was apprehended by the part-timer who spotted him. Sorokin had earlier attended a reception party for the circus, who were performing nearby, and was said to be drunk. He was able to get inside the office through an unlocked door accessible by an outside stairwell. A spokesman for the circus said that Sorokin had only joined the company in July.
