[/floatr]The Hotaru-san Project is a group of "human fireflies", each dressed in black with a glowing light on their backsides. Go to their website and you can type in a message (in romaji or kana) and the fireflies will line up their lights to reproduce it. The group regularly turn up in parts of Tokyo and, on Saturday, 30 of them converged on Shibuya for an impromptu performance, sponsored by internet company So-net Hikari. They went on to turn up in Ginza and Shinjuku. There'll be some videos on the net shortly but, to give you a taste, there's a clip below from an earlier outings.
