Who cares about promotional flight prices? What's going to be the actual price once the promo ends?

Also, Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) needs to lower the price of landing planes at Haneda and Narita by about 80%. Freaking insane landing prices are keeping low cost carriers out.

Nothing worth seeing in KL. It's just another big dirty asian city. The people aren't even all that friendly, and the taxi drivers will rip you off as soon as you're taken for a tourist.

The best thing to do in KL is leave for Singapore or Langkawi Island

My fiance says the same thing.

Return flight from Kuala Lumpur to Tianjin is about Yen 17,000. And I predict a return flight to KL should be less than Yen 25,000.

But don't go to Langkawi, you will be disappointed too, it is juts one big dirty island where tourists get ripped off, nothing really special about the beach there too. And it is not worth to fly to Singapore via KL too. If you check around the net, you can get tickets direct to Singapore by Singapore Airlines for about Yen 3 man plus. Don't go to Malaysia and don't use Air Asia.

You can catch a bus to Singapore from Malaysia anyway. It's a bit longer but a lot cheaper. Singapore is just an v2.0 of Malaysia anyway. Feels similar, but everything is a million times better.

I took a taxi in KL and the Pakistani driver took me to a shopping mall and told me the place I wanted to get to was just around the corner. As soon as I got out, being at the mall, another passenger immediately got in and he drove away.

Turned out the asshole dumped me at least 5 whole blocks away from where I needed to be. Took about half an hour for me to walk there.

Don't go to Malaysia, and for goodness, most important thing, DON"T go to Singapore BY BUS from Malaysia. It would definitely spoil your Singapore holiday. Fly direct to Singapore. Forget Malaysia.

A lot of my Singaporean friends drive to Malaysia for cheap shopping, food, and fun.. I, personally, have never been.

I enjoyed Singapore, but I've heard most people without families think it's boring.. Just not enough hookers in Geylang for them, I guess. :p

Note the slogan on the front of the plane
"Doing engineering calculations with the imperial system is like wiping your ass with acorns, it works, but it's painful and stupid."

"Plus, it's British."

Remember, though, this is Asia, where Ls and Rs are interchangeable and then the slogan becomes perfectly apt.
