Mainichi: Another manga character statue damaged on Tokyo street
A statue of a manga character has been damaged in the same area where the "Samba Ryo-san" statue was recently vandalized. The damage this time happened to a statue depicting the character Reiko Kathrine Akimoto. The character is from the same manga series, "Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Koen-mae Hashutsu-jo" ("This is the police box in front of Kameari Park in Katsushika Ward"), that the "Ryo-San" character appears in. Located in front of a police box at the north exit of JR Kameari Station, the statue was discovered to have been bent at the foot on Wednesday. Because of the damage, the statue is now leaning to the left. It is one of 11 statues erected around the area through the efforts of several groups including local businesses. A 23-year-old man was charged on May 7 over the previous incident, in which the "Samba Ryo-San" statue, depicting series main character Kankichi Ryotsu, had one of its maracas broken off.

Actually, the Mainichi report is already out of date. The picture on the left shows the statue at a tilt on Thursday but, by Saturday, it was upright again as shown on the right. Some random member of the public apparently gave it a shove back. If you are wondering about the healine, According to her Wiki entry, Reiko Akimoto is a half-French traffic cop who "despite having a large set of amazingly perfect breasts, is strong and unusually fast for a woman of her build".

The good thing about metal is that you can bend it back.

Yeah, it's not like if we wuz on the edge of a full scale war with North Korea after all...

(yeah, I know, rattling saber and stuff... but I try to cheer up as I can... ending this world would be a much easier task than trying to fix it...)

on a side note, the doomsday map is quite empty around japan...

we issa gunna die...

His [Brendan Behan's] last words were to several nuns standing over his bed, "God bless you, may your sons all be bishops."
