N.Korea Says Sure of Winning Nuclear War with U.S.
"Victory in a nuclear conflict will be ours and the red flag of army-first politics will flutter ever more vigorously," state radio said, reported by South Korea's Yonhap news agency.
"Our victory is certain and the future ever more radiant," it said, touting the dominance of the army in the world's most heavily militarized society.

The Japanese newspaper Nihon Keizai Shimbunsaid Tokyo and Washington planned to carry out the tests next year, as Pyongyang appeared likely to resume its own missile tests.

South Korean analysts said the North -- which has long insisted the armistice was obsolete and has violated its provisions hundreds of times -- was merely rehearsing an old tactic of trying to provoke a crisis to get U.S. attention.
"It is not the first time the North has done this," said Nam Joo-hong, a North Korean studies professor at Kyonggi University.
"If the North really wants to start a war, it would not make any comment before doing something really dangerous," he said.
