The Croatian tour guides are criticised for not being familiar with the culture of the land...
Seven cats and kittens have been impaled in Babin Kuk in Dubrovnik, horrifying a group of Japanese tourists who stumbled upon the massacre. Seeing the corpses of the cats while on a morning walk caused many of the group to break down in tears. The animals' necks had been broken and their bodies impaled on wooden sticks.
The police covered the area and forbade photographing. The president of Dubrovnik Society for Animal Protection Anica Sambrailo said that the police told them that animals have not been experiencing any violence. She added that in the last six month 48 cases of torture and poisoning of animals had been reported, the daily newspaper Jutarnji List writes. "There is a monster in Dubrovnik and this can no longer be kept hidden," she said.
