I knew those Chiba girls were rough, but damn...

Yep. Japanese ladies sure can be viciouswielding fruit knives Image.

But MO' SCAREY is that all grade school kids all carry various "cutter knives"

Student must have these knives in their RANDOSERU/Standard Schoolbag. 8O

My thoughts as well.

21 year old, unemployed woman, returning at 6am with 20,000 yen.

Let's jump to conclusions. She's a prostitute! And since all Japanese girls a pure virgins who don't have sex before marriage, she must be a foreigner.

A (frequently) Fucked Gaijin. Maybe she's on this board.

Captain

Right off the top of my head, I remember that NHK showed a "pocket money" survey a couple of years ago...
Average cash for:
-- housewife: 89,000yen
-- college student: 29,000yen
-- HS student: 25,000yen
-- sad-sack salaryman: 22,000yen

An "unemployed woman" could be collecting unemployment dole which is more than 50,000yen a month. Since she was 21 years old, she could be living at home and so she is given spending cash by her parents. No doubt this ammount of money the same as most college girls. I bet this unemployed girl's "mad money" was well over 100,000yen a month judging by all the college-girl purses I've rifled through on dates.

Like you said, it's "pretty good walking around money" but very typical. I guess we're in the wrong business, Cap.

More Chiba Muggings

Postby Captain Japan » Wed Oct 06, 2004 8:07 pm

Bat-wielding thugs go on mugging spree in Chiba
Mainichi
CHIBA -- Men armed with baseball bats attacked and robbed two company employees early Wednesday morning, police said.

The first attack occurred shortly after 2 a.m., when two men approaching from behind struck a 40-year-old man in Ichikawa, Chiba Prefecture.

"Give us your money!" one of the two yelled at the victim before they stole about 100,000 yen in cash from the man's wallet.

That's a heck of a lot of money for one wallet.

Not anymore

Taro, after the elementary school girl was kiled in Nagasaki, all the schools here(read elementary and junior high school) have banned the box cutter type knives. Which is a good idea since I don't think kids really needed to carry them. Why not those harmless scissors that won't cut anything. At least you can't kill somebody with them.
