That's a pretty nifty looking model with the Shinkansen and all, but I would have thought Japan, the land of miniaturization, could have come up with something a just a tad more impressive.
It sort of pales in comparison with what the Germans and other countries have done (maybe they have more time for hobbies...).
Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, Germany takes up 6,400 m2, with the actual model taking up 1,150 m2 (and it's a work in progress).
