Asahi: Life in the Philippines no picnic for Japanese
Dreaming of an idyllic existence in an exotic locale, many Japanese have packed their bags and moved to the Philippines. But for an increasing number of adventurers seeking a laid-back, low-cost lifestyle, the dream can turn to disillusionment, loss of vital organs or even death.
