The Mrs. was chucked out of the office at 3pm.

Me, I work at home anyway most days...

We were told to go home if we could, I dashed thru my menial chores and bailed. Glad I did, I think the corporate samurai who stayed are going to be there all night.

Yee har! 145 Km/h winds!

Hat tip to that French guy who introduced us all to that linked site at the start of Fukushima jollity.

Mrs. Taro works at the Tokyo Stock Exchange and everyone was given the option of going home early after trading closed.

I stayed home and picked the boys up early from daycare. Had my first beer at 1430... good day today.

Nothing to write aboot for me... south enough to avoid most of the crap... But seems Nagoya and even Toyota city got it harder... Nagoya TV is looping on windy upskirts in Sakae...

Osaka has been windy as hell most of the afternoon and there was typhoon level rain coming down as well. Looked outside about 2:30 and it was darker than dusk... Rain has let up now but the wind is still gusting pretty good.

I left the office about 3 o'clock and have been working from home this afternoon. Honestly, I can probably do 90% of my job from home anyway so I wish they'd always let us work remotely.

NHK news just said that there's been a train with about 170 passengers stuck on Seto Ohashi Bridge for more than 7 hours. Sucks to be them. I hope it's a train with toilets.

And that's why I'm worried about catching a train home now.
If I get stuck on a train longer than the battery on my iPod lasts, there'll be deaths within 30 minutes of anyone who SNIFF has to SNIFF blow their SNIFF fucking nose SNIFF just once, but SNIFF doesn't because SNIFF it's "rude" SNIFF

I was the last to leave my oriface at 4pm and picked up GomiJunior early from daycare. I took the long way home to get to the bakery. Was home by 5pm but there was gale force winds even by then. Trying to hold an umbrella while pushing a stroller in wind and rain is no fun.

Days like this are ones where I wished I wore contacts. Or had glasses with windscreen wipers.

So, in case you think your glasses make you see double, do not worry, it is just a double-post.

The train already arrived safely at its destination. So, all your imagined fiends would be comfortable by now.

Yep, same in Kobe around the same time. I have never seen the rain gushing down in this way (said the Dutchman). It was like a waterfall.

We are having the most wicked wind I've seen in ages. One minute it is snowing, the next it is raining, then the sun is shining. Doesn't seem prudent to head out in this, so I will sit inside and wait for it to literally blow over.

All of our people left early yesterday and made a beeline for the nearest Akachochin. Looking at the hangovers this morning, it appears they weathered the storm nicely....

papers flying of my desk because of the wind...

despite having all doors and windows closed...

(the bunker seriously need weather proofing... And with spring I will soon enter the 5th season of "Will I fucking manage to fix the roof leaks this time")

Stayed at the office until my usual hour, and by the time I left (around 10pm), the winds had already died down. The subway was more or less on schedule and was empty enough that I got a seat.

I took the day off, as a friend was in town....lotsa fun racing to get him on the Keisei Skyliner back to Narita, once we found out the NEX was shut down. Ended up walking back home and then to a friend's house in the thick of the wind fest around 5-6pm. Hard to light a cig with the wind blowing like that.

I kinda wished I'd ridden to work on my bicycle. With a tailwind like that, I could have hit 70 or 80, easy.

Just use an umbrella as a sail and you're set.

It was no fun with an umbrella and a stroller. The child was fine as he had a rain cover. I think he enjoyed the show.

That reminded me, the ride to work this morning was a bit hazardous with all the umbrella skeletons scattered around.
