Yep, case in point - a few weeks ago I watched two crows attack a hawk that was flying away from the nearby reservoir with a large fish in its talons. The crows divebombed the hawk, causing it to drop the fish, then they kept it from picking it up.

My neighbourhood could use the services of that girl at the moment as we are currently infested with crows because the surrounding rice fields are being plowed (unearthing tons of bugs and other goodies that the crows crave).

I wanted to be a falconer when I was 13. But there was noooo way it was going to happen... I didn't have the money (and in retrospect I severely underestimated how much it would take) and the nearest falconer (you have to do an apprenticeship) was hours away.

Plus I probably would have gotten bored with it just like any kid does with a new pet...

From my experience with insane cats. When said pet can leave you waking up with your intestine spread all over the bedsheets you absolutely never neither get bored nor sleep well or too deeply (17 years and counting, but aging prematurely).

First TV I got was in 1959, a 14" Bush, if I remember correctly.
I bought it for my parents with the pay-off from my first ship.
I also bought myself a "teddy-boy outfit to pull the birds."
Games were something kids played outside.
If I'd have heard the word, "video" back then, I'd probably have thought it was Spanish for a sexually transmitted disease.

I never was into 2D fighters, but I think this is from Samurai Spirits.

A word of warning that a Google image search will show you the later iterations, which were clearly made after all game characters had to be fap-material.

The real trouble started with Dead Or Alive... when the fighting part of the game became less than an hurried up after though and boob motion physics got most of the dev time...

Summer of 1991. There was a Street Fighter II game in the lobby of the dorms. I spent $200 in quarters that summer.

And yeah, it was Chun-Li's Spinning Bird Kick that caught me. Then Ryu's Hadoken. I felt so accomplished when I was able to pull it off at will.
