Zerohedge Japan and the Self-Cookin' Lobsters!

Postby Catoneinutica » Wed May 16, 2012 3:26 pm

Japan surfaces regularly on the Zerohedge site, usually as a result of Kyle Bass saying its public debt is unsustainable even though it keeps on sustainin', decade after bloody decade. The comments are usually mildly entertaining. Someone invariably posts something along the lines of, "I hear they got them 40-pound self-cooking blue lobsters." Astonishingly, the comment hasn't yet appeared in this particular
thread from earlier today:

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/japans-wtf-chart#comments

This one comes close, though:

"After Fukushima, the only charts over there that really matter is your X-ray chart." Not too shabby!

EDIT: Wait! Here it is: "but Japan has cornered the market in glow in the dark toys, Nagasaki Beef and tender Diachi Sushi. Wish I knew their tenderizer secret."

another interesting block of text

[quote="zerohedge comments"]I've lived in Japan for awhile. Japan has a homogenous population, low crime rate, healthy people. So you're not going to see anything like Detroit. Japanese people don't shit in their own beds like some of us do. But Japan doesn't feel like a wealthy country when you visit, nothing like the super modern portrayal from our media or Japanese anime. It's orderly but seems stuck in the 1980s. The country is covered with concrete apartment buildings with no insulation or central air. You'd swear you were in China or Eastern Europe, but more orderly. Believe me when I say I prefer winter in South Dakota or New England over winter in Tokyo]

Fortunately Japan has a young demographic workforce. Coupled with rich natural resources, Japan should be able to work its way out of this. (sarc.) (sarc.)

japan today... but it might be worse now or dead... i left during the exodus of 2004 or 2005 don't remember well... happened in one weekend where the mods became batshit insane. Systematically censoring, cutting posts to change their meanings, replacing entire messages with stuff like "the content of this post has been considered irrelevant and removed" Most of the level headed posters could not take the abuse anymore and just left. Leaving the place to wapanese uyokus and countless imbecile... who knows that japanese are polite and eat rice because they saw it on a pokeman card...

The whole message editing thing was a problem for quite some time already. Mods doing stealth edit to comments from users to reverse the meaning of the posts. But the mods being brilliant japanese idiots with barely enough english understanding to use a romaji keyboard it became a game to hide message within message by nearly never using litteral meaning of the words. When you start speaking redneck or chav english... Tanaka mod is totally lost and think everything is fine... Depsite the real meaning of the post being less than flattering aboot his mother...

An astute feedback-leaver noted that the proportion of J-govt bonds held by non-nipponesers will likely climb to 20%. It's already at 5% and going up, so it's a highly plausible scenario. But it means that the Japanese are going to have to start surrendering some of their autonomy, and there's nothing this nation of narcissistic hikikomori hate more than having to answer to some damn gaijin, especially when the gaijin are shinajin. It'll be fun to watch!
