The move comes in the wake of growing incidents involving trouble with touts in the ward, particularly in the Kabukicho area, ward officials said.
A metropolitan ordinance already bans aggressive solicitation such as pulling at the clothing of passersby, but the ward’s new ordinance, set to be enforced Sept. 1, will ban any kind of street solicitation.

I used to be able to pass through this area unmolested IF I had my keitai out but the past month or so these fuckers have become more numerous and they almost always try to grab me or others by the arm.

I ended up walking down Roppongi's main drag a couple of weeks back late of an evening, and yeah it seems they're back with a vengeance.

I think this will actually be good for business in the area overall, I steer clear of the area unless I really need to go there because of the touts. I like the camping shop down behind where the Liquid Room used to be for example, lots of floor space, great range of stuff, great staff, but it is a real hassle walking to and from it.

A lot of FG I know who used to go to the club he worked for said he was a great guy. From what I saw of the dude he just asked people if they wanted to go to a strip club and if they said no he left it at that. I never saw him follow anyone, block anyone’s path, or grab anyone’s arm. I also never heard of him ripping anyone off. If he did, he’s an asshole. If not, I don’t know why you have a problem with it.

I know that guy, he was really cool and worked hard. He would come in my bar and talk it up with me as there were only 5 Westerners who worked in the shady roppongi businesses. 2 in the place i worked at, he was at another, then there was a guy Power House (total lady killer), and 2 at Shisha Bar (same owners as the place I worked at).
