...On August 26, Harada Eiko (64), chairman and CEO of McDonald’s Japan Holding, 49.9% owned by the U.S. parent, unexpectedly announced that he was relinquishing his concurrent position of president of McDonald’s Japan...
....The even bigger news, announced the next day, was that his successor would be Sarah Casanova (48), a Canadian. Casanova is a 22 veteran with McDonald’s worldwide operations, who was executive director of McDonald’s Japan and marketing head from 2004 to 2009 and in 2012 became regional manager for Singapore and Malaysia in 2012.
