Kind of a feel good story, I liked it anyways.

Man survives 3 days at bottom of Atlantic

About 100 feet down, on the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, divers had already pulled four bodies out of the sunken tugboat. Then a hand appeared on a TV screen monitoring the recovery.

“It was frightening for everybody,” Walker said of that moment, speaking in a telephone interview Tuesday. “For the guy that was trapped because he didn’t know what was happening. It was a shock for the diver while he was down there looking for bodies, and we (in the control room) shot back when the hand grabbed him on the screen.”

Dood, the event that catalyzed the transformation from a wrecked post Eltsin Russia into the roaring bear led by shirtless Putin is not "trivia".

Even if i must admit that the less people remember this the better are the chances to never know how bad this whole clusterfuck was... Or just WTF happened...

Your probably right, however after 30 or so submarine accidents (probably more) in the last two decades which I'm guessing at least a quarter of which are nuclear related... They all kind of just bleed together. I remember as early as 14 reading about a submarine disaster in reader's digest. Also there are significant chunks of time I was in some third world country doing some stupid b.s. for the military and hens have large gaping holes in (no longer) current events.

So as I said, I really do appreciate being schooled up on something I wasn't aware of. As I've heard all my life "fools despise wisdom and instruction" I'm not too proud to say I don't know something.

I didn't race too google and study up on the Kursk so I could pretend I knew WTF you were imparting to me. I was trying to express genuine gratitude. Just like how you mentioned that the bumper on my Cube3 wasn't fiberglass but injection molded. That was cool! I didn't know that. I appreciate when some corrects my goofs or brings me up to speed on things.
