SARS could become the first infectious disease designated under the Infectious Diseases Control Law, which went into effect in 1999. Under the provisions of that law, any patient diagnosed with a designated infectious disease is to be admitted to a medical institution designated by the central government as having the means to prevent its spread.
However, only one hospital has so far received that designation-the Izumisano municipal infectious diseases center located across Osaka Bay from Kansai International Airport. Although the International Medical Center of Japan in Tokyo is expected to receive a similar designation by the end of the year, those two medical institutions combined would have room for only six patients with the designated infectious disease.

Fucking great! I don't need to travel to Hong Kong to get sick, they'll be bringing all Tokyo cases to my workplace.
