...and that applies to pretty much everything the locals mindlessly parrot "やっぱり日本は" safe, clean, polite, etc. etc. etc.

If you think that is bad, I'd like to draw your attention to the people of "the land of the free."

That type of shit is terrible regardless of who's saying it. The 'merica nationalists are just as clueless and embarrassing.

Takechanpoo wrote:you should distinguish between face-to-face level racism and institutional level racism.
as for the institutional level racism, japan is terrible as fuck. as if it still remain to be in the medieval age.

You realize when racism is at the institutional level, it becomes normalized and accepted by the populace. Landlords feel free to deny foreigners because the supreme court of Japan has basically ruled human rights are only protected in Japan if you're a citizen. That kind of shit set the wrong example. If it was stamped out at the institutional level, the face to face shit would follow suit.

Takechanpoo wrote:but as for the face-to-face level, i by any means dont think japan is terrible. ive ever read lots of the japanese long stay memoirs in western countries from meiji restoration to the recent. they were verbally abused to their face on a daily basis, got a slanted eyes pose by the local guys, were often pushed and punched just for being a yellow guy, got ignored/postponed their order in restaurants, got thrown the change on the ground, got forcibly robbed an umbrella by a strange guy on a rainy day, the list goes on and on. compared to it, how fucking trivial the racism the white and white looking dudes suffer in this country is. huh? i do not feel a single piece of pity for it at all. on the contrary, i even think its kinda good medicine for you white and white looking dudes. just endure it like a shabby filthy stray dog.

It's that kind of childish mentality that keeps the hate going. No kind of racism is not trivial. In the same rant you're demanding we separate institutional level racism vs individual racism...well here you go, that shit is fucking depressing no matter who you are or who is doing the discrimination because the victims are individuals. Why are you suddenly taking the group perspective to give no fucks when an individual is damaged by racism? No doubt Japanese face discrimination overseas, but when this "white looking dude" hears about it, it's just as depressing as hearing about foreigners discriminated against in Japan. If I have a chance to step in and help, I will. The fact that you won't and obviously think certain groups of people deserve that kind of treatment just tells us what a shitty person you are and how pathetic your life must be.

No kind of racism is not trivial.

there should be an objective standard to classify the grade, needless to say.
otherwise bullshits such as some crazy feminist bitches claiming "that staring is a genuine rape for me! track down and arrest the guy as a rapist! hell yea! " have to be accepted.

In fact I wouldn't care so much about the bad manners and passive, sneaky racism in Tokyo if the Japanese would only stop saying they are 'kind and polite.' Delusions shattered by any evening or morning on a train here.

you should distinguish between face-to-face level racism and institutional level racism.

I've never said face to face Japanese racism is 'terrible".

But as I've indicated many times, it is the behavior of cowardly, passive-aggressive cunts who get away with shit, eg pushing, the sly physical aggression on trains and in stations from both males and females, the young salary men standing around gibbering and laughing like simians after dinner or drinking parties at gaijin because they are not Japanese, the mindless childish disrespect from people who keep telling the world they have superior manners, the refusal of many staff especially in train and subway stations to behave like civilized human beings and actually deal normally with polite foreigners speaking Japanese, the utter ignorance of other Japanese who behave as if a gaijin giving up their seat for them or letting them drive their car instead of walking in front of it, is something to be treated with contempt, etc.

Who wants your fucking so called 'pity'? Never has come into the equation, you're projecting again onto others what you want. Your post too, like so many others, has a weird 1950s feel to it. You seem stuck in the timewarp of somebody who's in their 70s or 80s. Clearly you've never lived in a western country and you have no idea of how modern multicultural societies operate.

Try standing around insulting Japanese or other minorities in Oz in public - somebody, usually a whitey, will call the police and you"ll get a free trip to the local cop shop where you'll be booked under anti-racism laws which exist, and have done so for at least 40 years or more. Try operating a business where you have signs outside and in the store calling non whites 'filth', telling them to 'fuck off' and you'll 'kill them' or other lovely expressions in the minorities' own languages in Oz and any other western country. HInt - you won't be doing that for long.

The wankers who do that in Akihabara and Harajuku are pathetic esp when they try to use English to intimidate non Japanese, specifically native English speakers, but the fact is, why should Japanese people benefit from anti racism laws and measures in other countries but aggressively assert their rights to behave like this under the catch-all banner 'We Japanese are special'? To their credit, I've met Japanese who are thoroughly embarrassed by this double standard but they don't make the laws.

And if you think that there are no violent attacks on non Japanese esp white foreigners in Japan, again you don't get out much or you are doing the ol ostrich act. Going bar hopping I've seen whiteys assaulted and have helped them, but told them to not bother with the racist, low IQ cunts that pass for police in Japan. Even the xenophobic Korean police occasionally help us in those cases but of course whitey, browny and blacky will spend hours in the keisatsusho as if they've done something wrong when they try to defend themselves against gutless Japanese males who like group attacking one or two gaijin.

just knowing in your mind is not enough at all to truly realize what the pain is. its not until you suffer the same experience that you realize the pain in the true meaning. at least regard the racism here towards white dudes as it is and endure it, bitchcunt.
and there is no taboo to discriminate white gaijin men unlike white gaijin women and yellow/brown/black gaijin men/women. so its easy and safe to discriminate those white gaijin dudes.

Yep, its about time we kicked you off here and down into the Beyond Fucked forum. You are obviously more than troubled, McTojo was kicked off and he actually now seems not so bad compared to you.

Matuski`s tried to put some reason into this thread, I`ve pointed out some facts, the problem aint the unfiltered language cause we all can use it here on FG but your creepy robotic, hate-filled non-attempts to do anything but unproductive trolling.

Mod Alert. banishment for this irrational, non funny, non contributing troll to the Beyond Fucked Forum. No more Japanese exceptionalism for trolls, do a McTojo to them please.

I wouldn't.
I'd even rather read McTojo"s - and on balance he wasn't as bad as this plonker.

McTojo was kicked down into the Beyond Fucked forum and I'd say his denial trolling about Nanjing etc and trollish posts ignoring any kind of commonsense or attempt to have a rational discussion were actually not as bad as this Japanese floater coming from the Japanese versions of Korean Sentry etc on the net.

Oh yeah, it's Matsuki, not Mitsuki. Maybe the reason you like TakaTroll is because you have a reading problem. Just saying.

Oh, I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I'm comfortable with that. Would rather not ban or restrict anyone - selective reading and blocking those you really don't want to read should be enough to personalize your forum experience. Indulge in a wee bit of bitching, moaning, and complaining as a guilty pleasure now and then. Beyond that, it's all good.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/scienc ... finds.html

Short man syndrome really does exist, Oxford University academics have found, after a study showed feeling smaller makes people paranoid, distrustful and scared of others.

Scientists used virtual reality technology to reduce the height of volunteers travelling on a computer-simulated Tube train by 10in (25cm).

The experience of being shorter increased reports of negative feelings, such as being incompetent, dislikeable or inferior.

It also heightened levels of mistrust, fear and paranoia. Height-reduced participants were more likely to think someone else in the virtual train carriage was deliberately staring, thinking badly about them, or trying to cause distress.

Researchers believe the findings demonstrate the psychologically detrimental effect of experiencing social situations from a position closer to the ground.

“‘통일 비용’ 처음 계산한 나라는 일본, 이후 통일 부정론 퍼져”
"Japan calculated the cost of the unification first and since then the negative opinion about the unification spread  "

"It was also said that Japan was the first country to calculate the cost of unification. Jung said, "Japan is unable to cope with Korea 's current budget by calculating the cost of unification of North and South Korea. We have formed a negative public opinion that it is better not to do unification. "

Is the cost of unification calculated properly? Jung said, "It is true that it costs money for reunification, but it does not reflect the fact that the cost of dividing was reduced.""

Yeah and the Japanese govt reps squawking about a dessert at the North-South Korea banquet that had a map with Dokdo on it, what the Japanese call Takeshima, are full of logic. Not to mention maturity.

I understand the griping about comfort female statues cause I'm sick of them too and the money bandwagon the 'artists' are riding. But getting your jocks in a knot over a dessert with a map on it at a banquet that you weren't invited to and is in fact none of your farking biz, is just pathetic.

The fallacy of composition arises when one infers that something is true of the whole from the fact that it is true of some part of the whole (or even of every proper part). For example: "This wheel is made of rubber, therefore the vehicle to which it is a part is also made of rubber." This is clearly fallacious, because vehicles are often made with a variety of parts, many of which may not be made of rubber.

Very interesting. Please help me understand this concept.

Is it an example of the fallacy of composition to say "some Koreans are protesting, without a correct rational basis: therefore, all Koreans are irrational"?

Hundreds of people are missing and several are feared dead after a hydropower dam under construction in southern Laos collapsed, causing flash flooding that swept away homes, state media reported on Tuesday.

The disaster left more than 6,600 people homeless, the Lao News Agency reported. It showed pictures of villagers wading through muddy floodwater carrying belongings. Others boarded rickety wooden boats or stood on the roofs of partially submerged houses.

The South Korean company building the dam said heavy rain and flooding caused the collapse and it was cooperating with the Laos government to help rescue villagers near the dam.

The dam collapsed at 8:00 p.m. local time (1300 GMT) on Monday, releasing 5 billion cubic metres of water and several hundred people are missing after homes were swept away, the Lao News Agency said. It said several people had died.
