Although more than 60% of Japanese have been triple vaccinated, infections may be rising because it has been a long time since many people had their last shot.

How uncreative of you Japan…

Most europe now say that the Pfizer vaccine is now useless and another vaccine need to be used instead.
And don’t get me started with the fagflue…
Sorry…
The sodomite pox…
My bad…
The monkey pox…
The mustachioed monkey running the WHO dog and pony show decided that it was a global emergency… too…

I'd say over 50% of the people I know here have already had covid before or recently. Few of my friends never had symptoms but tested positive for antibodies. The new wave...more like a tsunami, may actually bring about herd natural immunity though. I ordered an antibody test today. I've been exposed sooo many times the past few years and never seemed to catch it. My guess is I probably had it but my daily D3/K2 supplement was enough not to ever have any symptoms.

Now there is some woke movement to rename Monkeypox...the generation after Gen Z is Gen O...a regression in more ways than one and the perpetually offended generation.

Australia's response to COVID in the first two years was one of the best in the world. Why do we rank so poorly now?

Many of my Aussie friends would beg to differ on that take.

I mean, the only people actually getting treated for 'rona are those that got it bad and US emergency rooms can't turn away patients. Even in Japan, people are just told to stay home so universal healthcare isn't likely a difference maker.

US obesity rate is about 7% higher than Canada and the current narrative is "health fat" and "don't fat shame" so if you're looking for the one dimensional hot take, that's where I'd point to.

Participants also demanded the full disclosure of security camera footage of Wishma Sandamali, a Sri Lankan woman who died at age 33 while she was detained at the Nagoya Regional Immigration Services Bureau in the city of Nagoya in March 2021.

The woman's younger sister Poornima, who joined the rally, urged, "By having people of Japan watch the (security camera) footage, they can understand how foreigners are being treated. We want the establishment of rules to prevent similar victims."

In a lawsuit filed by Wishma's bereaved family seeking damages from the Japanese government, the state has refused to disclose the entire footage saying that it is not necessary to examine all of it.

Fuuuuuuu, never ceases to amaze me how the authorities here hide behind "acted appropriately" and "not necessary" (to be transparent)
