in case of non-hakujin wives of buddhist temple, especially mongoloid ones, nobody cares....
most of japanese buddist temples are so-called funeral buddhism where buddhist priests and undertakers show up together in front of you ONLY when your family member die and try to beguile not a little money from you under the name of "tradition". those hakujin wives are an accomplice in the fraud. shame on it.

My mother's side is half Frenchie, you're stuck with 1/4th of me on your team.

All the money I saw the ex's father take in was on obon, shogatsu, etc. Sorry to ruin Take's dream but the guy was actually known in the area for turning down funeral money on several occasions...which garnered much favor for him and has seen his patronage increase. Sky fairy talk aside, I didn't really see much of a problem with the community service side of things and totally see it growing. You have no idea how many lonely old people are out there that could care less about the religious aspecs and just wanted someone to come visit them and talk.
