The speaker of the local assembly was injured in a fight with the vice speaker over the order of reading a congratulatory speech early this month, police sources said Thursday.
In the fight, Onuki suffered injuries to the face that took 10 days to heal, according to investigators. (Mainichi Shimbun, April 24, 2003)
