Well...., seems to me he is right,

creativity, competitivity, serach for intellectual truths, etc...require different characteristics than fatherhood. It is just difficult to complement objectivity and analytical capabilities with subjectivity, forgiveness and love.

My question is...did the stupidity come before or after marriage?

I mean to say, how do they know when the stupidity started? Was
it right after " Will you marry me? " was uttered?
