Image Four girls rescued in Japan, abduction suspected
ABC News / Thu, 17 Jul 2003 22:04 AEST
A group of Japanese schoolgirls missing since last weekend have been found by police in a central Tokyo apartment, handcuffed and close to the body of a man who had apparently committed suicide. ...
...found the other three safe but restrained with toy handcuffs and in the same apartment as the body of a man aged around 30. He had plastic sheeting over his head and a charcoal burner at his feet.
Some of the girls were hospitalised for shock.
According to media reports, the four 11 to 12 year-old girls left their western Tokyo homes on Sunday saying they were going to Shibuya, an area of the city popular with young people but also notorious as a place where girls trade sex for money. . . . "enjo kosai"

Er, toy handcuffs? I would think that they would have been strong enough to break them, if they were motivated by getting away from being chained to a dead man (who might have just raped them).

It was only a "statuory rape". All the news reports this morning are aluding to enjo kosai. Today's print edition of the Asahi Shimbun reads:

...a clerk at a flower shop next to condo called police at 12:14pm Thurs to tell them, "A barefoot 5th grader in handcuffs is asking for help."
One of the girls panicked and fled after she heard no sound coming from Yoshisato's room. She told the flower shop clerk, "We were also in the wrong."

4 girls held in dead man's apartmentThe Asahi Shimbun Friday, July 18.

have you ever tried to get out of toy handcuffs by breaking them? not that easy sometimes...

many of the toy ones are made of metal and even if they were plastic, think about how strong the plastic in the doritos bags is here, man....that'd be damn near impossible to break out of 8O

Kyodo Press July 18, 2003 12:19

...According to police accounts, the confinement and suicide case began in early July when Yoshisato encountered one of the four girls in the Shibuya district while handing out leaflets advertising for part-time jobs and offered her a ''good-paying'' part-time job.

Yoshisato kept frequent contact with the girl through mobile phone after they became acquainted, the police said.

The girl, who received 10,000 yen for some cleaning work given to her by Yoshisato, passed the information to her friends at school. On Sunday, the four girls told their families they were going to Shibuya and then vanished....

During their confinement, the four girls were handcuffed to water tanks and dumbbells, their eyes covered by masks and their feet tied to their hands.

The principal of the elementary school the girls attended said he was ``shocked'' at the circumstances. ``Our school policy does not permit students to be outside the school district without permission. We are glad to know they are safe.''

It was on a Sunday when they went missing. Just how far reaching are the powers of Japanese schools?

Is the principal miffed because the girls didn't ring in on Monday to say "Sorry, can't come to school today, I'm out of the school district handcuffed to a table."

Far enough to force students on summer vacation to wear their school's construction-style hardhats when riding their bicycle in school uniform to the beach. :shake:

Ryan has a FG'ing fantastic report on the mind-of-the-pedophile (he's even works in "a store that sold schoolgirls' used panties." 8O

Pedophile's 'Petit Angels' leave him with suicidal nightmares
By Marvin Connel Staff Writer MDN July 24, 2003
....Shukan Shincho notes that [[the pedophile]] Yoshisato was born and attended elementary school in Yokohama before moving to the Kansai area. He later dropped out of an Osaka design school and worked for a time at a store that sold schoolgirls' used panties.
...Yoshisato's vile business appears to have thrived, considering the huge amount of money he had stashed away in bank accounts, his two Ferraris and the hotel bills raked up into millions of yen that he paid off by cash...
