Chiang Mai _ A Japanese tourist who went missing while trekking in Mae Tang district last week, was found yesterday hanged in a forest.
The body of Jun Nakagawa, 35, of Fukuoka, was discovered several kilometres from his camping site.
However, police are not convinced he took his own life and have asked for a full autopsy.
This has happened more than once up here in Northern Thailand; a Japanese dude hanging from a tree in the jungle. At least three or four times I can remember. Usually ends up being declared suicide. Land of Smiles seems to be a popular place for Japanese suicides.. Weird..
