now this is fucked..
i have to work with many kids who have learning disorders / psychiatric disorders and who have to slog through regular school / life as if there was nothing wrong with them / that they didnt need help
i know a couple of teachers who have kids like this , and their parents choose to ignore it..
i grew up with a learning disorder so know how hard it is, and still think elements of it remain, im not sure, it was largely ignored at school, my parents tried to help at home, but they were busy with my brother who is mentally handicapped due to the wrong medicine/vaccine being given as a baby , he had to go to a school for delinquents and i still cant imagine what he went through as a child
i had no idea just how much fun it can be working with kids, sure some of them are horrible, but for the most part, its very rewarding, albeit not financially.. i spent 2 days with around 200 kids at summer camp last week, and a good 5 or 6 kids there had learning or mental difficulties so i hope for their sake and kids in the future that there is more help and support for them and their families
steps of soap box... ^^
